Hello, old friend...

It's 3 in the morning and I can't fall asleep. This always happens to me, so many thoughts running through my head when I just wanna fall asleep.

One of the thoughts running through my mind is about my internship. I sent emails to a few engineering companies a few weeks back for my compulsory 12 week internship. Today, finally one of them responded.

I was so glad to receive that email, until I reach the part where they want to conduct an interview with me through Skype. Oh man I hate interviews. I've had a few interviews so far but in each and every one of them I was a nervous wreck throughout the interview. And when I get nervous I speak way too fast and sometimes blurt things out without thinking. Hopefully, I can keep calm this time.

I was thinking about what they were gonna ask, what do they know about me besides information on the resume I sent to them. So I went to Google myself, to see what sort of information would turn out.

The first 3 results were Facebook and Twitter, and the fourth was my SoundCloud account - don't really remember why I registered for that though. Then the fifth result. Hahahaha that's cute, it really does sound like you're in love with me :P

And thats how I returned to visit my old friend, my dusty old blog. I went through my old posts, and laughing at my naivety and stupidity back then. Had a glance at my profile, guess I could no longer call myself a teenager anymore.

Then there is this nostalgic feeling that makes me wanna post something again. So here I am, blogging at 3 in the morning. Nope it's half past 3 already. I should really be sleeping right now. Maybe if this nostalgic feeling sticks around, I might post more often :)

2 shitty things happened recently.

Gone through an Advanced Maths test this morning, and it sucks.

Half the paper was like this:

1. Look at the question, think of which one of the three methods should be used to integrate.
2. Integrate!
3. Half-way through.... stuck already!
4. Don't waste time, do another question first, later come back to this.
5. Stuck at another question, again and again and again.
6. Come back to this question, still don't know how to do.
7. Time's up!

Hope can pass it... I don't like failing.

Today, got back 2 test papers, Maths and Comp Sc.

I'm very proud and happy about my results!

Physics Lab~

Physics Lab class is one of the most fun class in the week.

Because after we're done with the experiment that is needed to be done, we can play experiment with the stuff in the lab.

But, we usually start off by doing the first step of the experiment.

Then, we made something awesome happen, so we try to do it again, and proceed try different methods to see what will happen, finally notice time is running out and faster continue with the real experiment.

Yesterday, reach lab only saw the interesting conves lens on the table.

So we did not start off with the experiment, instead went to play with the lens.Chun Kiat took this photo, can see the inverted face on the lens.
Okay, back to business, do experiment lu~

I did not do much that day, just taking pictures and observing, hahaha.Jing Wen, seriously doing the experiment.We're trying to find out the focal length of the lens. Finally, the class ended and I can go home.Nice clouds~ Recently the skies are always hazy, dont always get to see nice clouds.

Mondays

Monday is the end of the pleasant weekends.

Monday is a long day of classes from 8.30 - 6.00, with 1 hr 15 mins break.

Monday's Comp Sc class is not in lab, so cannot play computer.

Monday is the only day with Moral, and Moral sucks.

Today, I had my first Moral Studies lesson.

It was pretty boring. The teacher was boring. Well, can't blame the teacher cause Moral was never interesting in the first place.

First we learned about the definition of 'moral' and 'ethics'.

Then answered a few questions and started divided into teams of 20 for our moral project.

I am the leader of my group, yet I still don't know what to do for our fund-raising project.

Cloning

That's the topic for my research paper, cloning.After deciding on the topic, I went to the library just now to get books related to cloning.

Out of the 3 books, one book exceeded my expectations.

I thought the books will be boring with texts and no pictures and I would fall asleep easily over the book.
Well, this book is nicely coloured with many pictures!

Sadly, the same does not apply to the other 3...
When I skimmed through this book, I found that it was filled with scribbles and highlights and definitions of words all across, until I thought that I'd find out at the back of the book that this is a property of the Half Blood Prince. xD

I have to admit, some of the notes are pretty useful. But the fella that wrote them did not finish the book, because the scribbles stopped about one third of the book.

Finally, I got to 'feel' to blog now. XD

So, I have just started my second semester of MUFY few weeks ago.

And now, Friday gonna have a test for Comp Sc already, so cannot play play.

My 5 topics for this semester is the same, English, Maths, Adv Maths, Comp Sc and Physics.

English is gonna suck. Soon I have to start my research paper, have to read a lot of books about my topic then write a super long essay, after that need to present your findings to the class.

I think I'm gonna do something about genetic engineering, and maybe I'll borrow a book about it from the library tomorrow.

But, thinking of reading those pictureless full of scientific crap with boring language (the books is written by scientist which spend all day researching and usually have weak literature, so their books should be boring. Hopefully its not =P) non-fiction seems very very boring.

Maths is ok la, we're learning things from Form 4-5 Add Maths, so it's pretty much like a revision to me.

I have the same teacher for Adv Maths. Last semester, I was having a hard time with the crazily complex differentiation questions, and now, this semester we're mostly gonna do Integration, die lo...

Luckily, now I still can do the questions.

Computer Science! The subject where I can play computer in class! XD

Our teacher is pretty good, I don't feel bored in the class, so she is a good teacher, lol.

Physics... ahh damn sien.

Now we are learning the topic Light, so we have the convex concave lens diminished virtual those bullshit.

Every time I enter class, take out notebook then copy copy copy only.

This chapter have keep drawing the light ray enter the lens bend in or bend out or reflect or refract, whole class keep drawing lines and lines and lines only.

Last semester so syok, teacher give handouts of notes, rarely need to copy things.

Now, with all the diagrams that I drawn, it feels more like an Art class.

Short hair already

Now, I kinda miss my long hair.This is during Vanessa's birthday. Ugh, I miss that hair.

But now short hair also kinda good, I don't have to brush my hair aside anymore when I'm driving.

Interview

So, I applied to be a kindergarten maths teacher.

They replied and told me to be ready for an interview on Friday night, via the internet.

At first I thought it was gonna be with a instant messenger program.

Do questions? Kindergarten level ma, easy la.

Here is a sample of the questions.First thought after seeing this was: "OMFG! CHINESE!?!?!?! "

Then after reading it: "OMFG! WHAT DOES THE QUESTION WANTS?!?!?!?!"

The first question already don't know how to do.

But fortunately, with the help of Chinese pro Kah Hoe and a college friend maths freak Jue Sheng, managed to send the answers just in time.

Then received another set of questions.

This one need to be done by 9.40pm

Again with the help of those 2 person, sent it in time again.

But, dunno when only will get a reply whether I qualify or not.

Damn stupid, the questions are ridiculously tough.

I apply to teach kindergarten level maths leh...

In my imagination it was 1 apple + 2 apples = 3 apples!

Then draw a few nice apples for the kids. xD

Maybe teach some algebra 1 apple + 1 orange = 1 apple and 1 orange

Now holidays already, damn syok.

No need early wake up go school, got car can go out anytime.

But leh, now my dad want me to find a part-time job.

He don't want me to waste my time at home everyday.

He even gave me a part time job website, so no excuses liao =.=

And seeing my SPM results also reminded me of one thing, the cops sent a letter to my house a few weeks back.

A green Myvi with license number WPK 8901 was caught going at 111km/h on March 11 2009.

So sad, kena scolding from dad, but luckily he still let me drive around.

Haih, everytime go KL also use Kesas highway, the road so smooth and straight, and they are always cars going at 120+, very tempting to go fast.

But, I learnt my lesson liao, don't want to kena saman anymore, now I always try my best to follow the speed limit of 90km/h.

I drive so safe already, but dunno why Xue Feng always say he feel unsafe when sitting in my car, but leh, he still always want to sit my car to LRT station.

I'm Back!

My finals is gonna end soon.

1 month break is near, I can feel it already!

Just now I just had my Physics paper.

Compared to the past year papers that I've done, this paper is very easy.

Hehehe, hope Thursday's Advanced Maths will be the same, then I can get High Distinction!

Also, after Thursday ajak me go out!! I'll be super free everyday!

Finally, we can start coding now!

No more stupid Microsoft Word and Excel, it's Visual Basic time!

The Excel practical test, I got 20/20. =D This dude la, Maths get 100 twice already. Physics also higher than me!

Now I get 1 subject higher than him. =DSee his phone, the battery cover keeps falling off, so he stick the price tag there.

I saw that and went WTF no cellophane tape?
Smile until so wide, when he realized I'm taking his picture, too late already lo.

This Saturday, I need to go to school for a Physics revision class, cannot go back SBS for Anugerah Cemerlang.

Aiyo, cannot get free money.

Last weekend, we celebrated Khai Loo's 18th Birthday.

But before that, I went to a safety driving course organised by Honda with my dad.My dad got invited to join it for free because he recently bought a Civic.

And he can bring a partner along. So I get to go there. =D
This is the Accord I drove there.

The course is FUN! We get to experience what is it like to take corners at high speed, emergency braking in dry and wet conditions, braking without ABS and others.

I drove around 40km/h and hit the brakes hard when they disabled the ABS, and the Accord spun 180 degrees.

Just 40km/h would make me spin 180 degrees, what if it was 100+km/h?

Learned and experienced a lot from that course.

After that course, I went to Kaki Corner at Taman Billion to celebrate Khai Loo's birthday.Attempted to put a stolen cucumber to somebody's drink, but I failed...

Usually when the sun not yet rise not so jam wan, but got someone crash his car, haih...Jam Jam Jam until sun rise liao!

I usually reach school around 7, and class starts on 8.30, except on Tuesdays la.

So, I use this free period to either do homework or sleep.
