Fuel increases by Rm.078/liter. Thats very very much.
I remember on 2004 or 2005, when my sister just got her driving license, petrol was about RM1.40/liter.
Before June 5th, it was RM1.92/liter.
Now, its a staggering RM2.70/liter.
Besides that, prices of electricity also increased.
Rice was already so expensive and now this?
How great, price of petrol increasing just when I can drive.....
Our government says that we are using to much petrol. If this continues, soon, the petrol we use will be more that the petrol we produce. When that happens, our economy will suffer.
Cheap fuel discourages conservation, and makes it difficult to adopt to more expensive but cleaner alternatives, such as solar energy.
To stop this, they need to increase the fuel prices.
The government says that we can drive less, use the public transport.
Well I ask you, have you tried using your shitty transports?
Waiting 20-45 minutes just for that packed bus to come isn't fun.
You want us to use less petrol and use public transport, but you have to improve you public transport in the first place.
All the trains have small coverage, little carriages and can't meet up with the demands.
During peak hours, a LRT leaving from the Sri Petaling station will be full when it leaves the station, with a lot of people still waiting for the next train.
Stop building stupid spaceports(scroll down to Spaceport Tawau) or sending people to space and improve your public transport first.
In the end, I'm just a average kid ranting about our government in a blog that no one cares about. =.=
